ALAYNA WONG
BNT COMPANY DANCER
Alayna Wong is from Southern California. She trained at Huntington Academy of Dance in California and International Ballet Academy in Washington state and was a trainee with Oklahoma City Ballet for their 2018/19 season. In 2023, she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy.
With the OU School of Dance, her performance repertoire included George Balanchine’s Serenade, Jirí Kylián’s Falling Angels, Penny Saunders’ Deux Amours, and Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi. In 2022, she toured with OU to perform at the International Contemporary Dance Festival of Mexico City, and was also selected to represent Moscelyne Larkin at the Five Moons Dance Festival. She performed with Central Oklahoma Ballet Theatre for two summer seasons and has been a principal guest artist with Hot Springs Children’s Dance Theatre since 2021.
Alayna joined Ballet North Texas in 2023 and performed as Dew Drop and Snow Queen in Nicolina Lawson’s The Nutcracker, Canary Fairy in Lawson’s Sleeping Beauty, and in George Balanchine’s Valse Fantasie; she was also featured in original works by Gabriel Speiller, Carrie Ruth Trumbo, and Hannah Knorr. This is Alayna’s second season with Ballet North Texas.
